If building a business and a brand, while creating the nation’s first car customizing shop and car dealership, wasn’t enough of a challenge, your HCIC (that’s me James) decided to add some more pressure to the pot – “lets build a brand new CarToyz facility (Go Big..or Go Home!)”.
To make this critical leap into the future of CarToyz, I appointed Distinctive CarToyz’ very own Head Forman, Tom Way, as the project manager and put him in charge of building our brand new, 10,000 square-foot garage and custom car SUPER CENTER – from the ground up.
He traded the mobile grind **from the trunk of his Lexus** to building an empire on precision automotive excellence. With no experience, but bag full of courage and determination, we set forth on this journey right at the beginning of a pandemic – when the rest of the world came to a dead stop.
The naysayers and “negative Nancy’s” piled on with their doubts and assurances that we would never pull this miracle off. Well, nine months later it was a done deal, and we opened our brand new doors on January 25th, 2021.
“No”. “Can’t”. “It’s too hard”. These are words that are not part of my DNA let alone my vocabulary, so we went from a hot dog stand, to a full-blown food court. With Tom by my side, we took our dreams to reality. We never gave up and the results speak for themselves. – James
